The sticky couch

I am fairly certain that I must have velcro on my butt because I can't seem to get it off the couch.

I had my classes Tuesday and should be grading papers and planning for my Small School classes. But I just can't do it. I know this means that Monday will be a cram session, but the though of grading papers and oral exams...well I can't even come up with a witty end to that sentence. I don't want to do it (work that is). Maybe if I go grocery shopping and get out a bit I can make myself grade/prepare this afternoon.

Nothing like a day or two of avoidance to really throw you into a good fit of procrastination. Maybe it's the clouds in Lille these days. Any one else out there feeling like this lately?

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I'm reading through all of your archives - good stuff. I hope the winter procrastination bug goes away - I have it too.

Hi Susan,
I am sure it is the winter weather! Everyone I speak with is sick of weather and wants spring to come. I am in a funk today, too. Although the weather is nice today in DC (sunny and 50's). My inlaws live Lille, and when I visit there I always think how hard it would be to live there because of the weather. It rains so much and is so cloudy. After a few days of clouds, I need sun! But, I do love Lille and the lifestyle in France. Maybe if you do get out you'll get some motivation. I just took my dogs for a long walk and it made me feel a lot better!
Take care!

Ugh, this time of year always gets me down. And I'm NEVER motivated to grade!

Grading is of the devil. The weather is just the icing on the crap cake.

Jane - Nice to meet you! See you 'round the blogsphere!! Turns out my "procrastination" bug turned into a "nasty flu" bug, see next post which is soon to be written.

Patricia - you are so right...I made myself walk to the corner store Sunday and it really brightened my mood. Let me know if you make it to Lille before summer, I am always up for a cup of coffee! We are moving back to Houston for 3 years before summer)

Maladroite - No kidding! I was so bad I had to drag my husband into my downward spiral by asking him to grade things to help meet a dead line!! Oh - about your second post...I might have to borrow your phrase "crap cake", I love it!! And it snowed here overnight...

WCS - I knew you were a great guy, even the computer likes you!! A lot apparently... ;-)
